Camera Integration

MDCollections uses your device’s camera as a first-class input tool. Every camera feature is available directly inside the item editor — no switching apps, no importing photos after the fact.

Photo Capture

Take a photo of an item and it’s attached instantly. MDCollections supports multiple photos per item, and each collection can define its own image optimization settings — maximum dimensions, compression quality — so your collection folder doesn’t balloon in size.

Document Scanner

Need to capture a receipt, a certificate of authenticity, or a manual? The built-in document scanner detects page edges, corrects perspective, and saves a clean scan as a document property on your item.

Barcode and QR Scanner

The same camera interface handles barcode scanning for product lookup and QR code scanning for storage location assignment. One camera, multiple input modes, all accessible from the item editor.

Photo Library

Prefer to use an existing photo? You can also pick images from your photo library. Useful when you’ve already photographed items or want to use reference images from the web.
