Obsidian Compatibility

MDCollections is built to work alongside Obsidian. Point it at a folder inside your Obsidian vault and your collection items become part of your knowledge base.

Wikilinks

MDCollections supports the full [[wikilink]] syntax. Link between items, reference notes in your vault, or embed content with ![[embed]]. Links are rendered as tappable references in the app, and they remain standard Obsidian wikilinks in the underlying files.

Callouts

Obsidian-style callouts render natively in MDCollections. Use any of the standard callout types — note, tip, warning, danger, success, question, example, and more — and they display with proper formatting and icons.

Dataview Compatibility

If you use the Dataview plugin in Obsidian, your items are queryable just like any other note. The YAML frontmatter properties defined in MDCollections are standard Dataview fields.

Templater Support

MDCollections can use Templater plugin template files for creating new items. If you already have Templater templates in your vault, you can reference them directly.
